Lou Marie Smelser

Lou Marie Smelser, age 84, of Adamsville died Tuesday, Feb. 24, at Tri-County Convalescent Home in Adamsville. She was the daughter of the late Ed and Addie MaeTeuton Gilchrist. She was married to Alpha Harding Smelser of Adamsville who survives. Mrs. Smelser was a homemaker. A private family service will be held on Sunday, Mar. 8. In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters, Iona Plunk of Stantonville, Cindy Duren of Waynesboro and Georgie Rhein of Idyllwild, Calif.; two sons, Dr. Mike Smelser of Selmer and Matt Smelser of Adamsville; and two sisters, June Brooks of Savannah and Lucy Crabtree of Hermitage.
