Karen Dedrick

Karen Dedrick, 54, of Adamsville, died Dec. 30, at Vanderbilt Medical Center, Nashville. She was born in Kennett, Mo., the daughter of the late William Henry and Martha Clementine Martin Harrison. She was united in marriage to Ardell Dedrick, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Dedrick was a retired cook for Adamsville Elementary School and she also worked for Garan Manufacturing for 25 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Adamsville. Services were held on Friday, Jan. 2, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, with Phil Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Memorial Garden at Adamsville. She is survived by one son, Phillip Edward Dempsey of Savannah; two grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Lorren of South Haven, Mich., Carolyn Stafford of Donelson, Ark., Shelia Boyd of Batesville, Ark. and Martha Denise Bray of Rives, Mo.; one brother, Farren Harrison of Mountain View, Ark. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty Sue Harrison and two brothers, Billy Joe and Warren Preston Harrison.
