Jim Presley

James Ancil "Jim" Presley was born May 12, 1936. Died Jan. 16, at his home in Fairfield, Calif. Jim leaves his wife Shirly Bentley Presley of 39 years of Fairfield, Calif.; two brothers, Floyd "E" Presley of the Flatwoods community and Joe Presley of Eastview, Tenn.; one sister, Jayne Presley Whorton of Birmingham, Ala. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Anci and Helen McAfee Presley, also a brother, Ray N. Presley of Steger, Ill. Jim fought a long battle against lung cancer. Jim was born and grew up along the McNairy and Hardin county line, near Pisgah, Childers Hill and the Flatwoods. Jim served his country for 20 years as a professional soldier in the U.S. Army and then retired to Fairfield, Calif. Jim loved the military life.
