Gunter Sanderson Jr. (3-18-09) services 3-22-09

Gunter Sanderson, Jr., 68, of Savannah, died Wednesday, March 18. He was born in Montgomery, Alab., son of the late Gunter Sanderson, Sr. and Rachel Draper Sanderson. He was united in marriage to Mae Maude Cherry who preceded her husband in death. Mr. Sanderson was a self employed bricklayer. He was a member of Graham Chapel CME Church. Services were held on Sunday, March 22, at Graham Chapel C.M.E. Church in Savannah with Gallian Fulton Jr., Willie Adams officiating. Burial was in the Memory Gardens at Savannah. He is survived by a daughter, Diane Sanderson of Savannah; two sons, Phillip Sanderson of LaVergne, Tenn. and Gunter H. Sanderson III of Savannah; and four grandchildren.
