Essie Dickson
Essie Franks Dickson was born Oct. 10, 1916, in Hardin County, the daughter of the late James (Doc) and Virginia (Ginny) Elizabeth Banks Franks.
Mrs.Dickson departed this life on Jan. 29, in Henderson, Tenn., at the age of 92 years, 3 months, 19 days.
She was married to Guy Dickson on June 2, 1944. They made their home in Morris Chapel.Guy Dickson preceded Mrs. Dickson in death. Mrs. Dickson worked on the farm with Mr. Dickson and later worked at Garin Sportswear. She worked at the Morris Chapel School for several years in the cafeteria and later babysitting from her home. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church at Milledgeville.
She is survived by a daughter, Nelta Ann Morrison of Henderson, Tenn.; a son, Jimmy Neal Dickson of Bethel Springs, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Vickie Weber and husband Lewis of Savannah, Stacy Dickson; and a great-grandchild, Matthew Weber.
Services were held on Sunday, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Johnson Chapel in Henderson, Tenn., with Jimmy Kelley officiating. Burial wasin the Lebanon Cemetery at Hardin County.
