Elsie Crotts

Elsie Arbelle Davidson Crotts, 88, of Savannah, departed this life Jan. 15, at the Hardin County Nursing Home where she was a resident of 13 years. She was born in Hardin County, daughter of the late Barney and Belle Garner Davidson. She was united in marriage, April 14, 1939, to Andy Thurman Crotts who preceded her in death, Sept. 25, 1981. Mrs. Crotts was a homemaker. She was a member of the Forest Hill Pentecostal Church where her husband pastored for 25 years and later attended Olivet Pentecostal Church and New Life Pentecostal Church in Savannah. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 18, 3 p.m., at the New Life Pentecostal Church with Rev. Gerald Davis officiating. Burial was in the Savannah Cemetery. Mrs. Crotts is survived by one daughter, Reba Crotts Sawner and husband David F. Sawner; one son, Ronnie Lynn Crotts and five grandchildren: Shannon Crotts of Crump, Tracy Pope, Tammy Hollins, Trent Gramse, all of Savannah and Heath Gramse of Adamsville, also nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Hardy Davidson of Savannah. She was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Earl Crotts, July 23, 2000, and Donnie Glen Crotts, July 2, 2000; and four brothers: Joe, John, William L. and Sam Davidson.
