Elsie Boyd

Elsie Carrie Harder Ellison Boyd, age 98, died on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville. She was born in Perry County, Tenn., son of the late Prince William and Ollie Belle Harder. She was united in marriage to Melvin C. Boyd, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Boyd was a homemaker. Services were held on Saturday, Jan. 17, in the chapel of Young Funeral Home with Vance Tague and Dorris French officiating. Burial followed in the Harder Cemetery on Cedar Creek. She is survived by three daughters Ollie Mae Moore of Linden, Tenn., Eula Stockard of Hendersonville, Tenn., Nancy Barrett of Lenoir City, Tenn.; one son, Albert Ellison of Clifton; two step-sons, Buford Boyd of Linden, Tenn., Loral Boyd of Levittisburg, Ohio; and eleven grandchildren; four step-grandsons, and a host of great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Elvis Harder and Kelsie Harder; one son Eddie Ellison; one grandson and one great grandson.
