Charles Duane Alexander, 65, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Sunday, March 22, at his residence in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
He was the son of the late Charlie Wilson and Arabella Lee Rainey Alexander.
Mr. Alexander was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0153, Eagles 3730, Elks 2353, V.F.W. Post 6477 and Amvets Post 0141, all in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
He was retired from Missouri State Health Department as a health inspector.
Services will be held Saturday, March 28, at 11 a.m., at Landess Funeral Chapel, Campbell, Mo., with James Powell officiating. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Campbell, Mo.
He is survived by one brother, Richard Sam Alexander and wife Carmen of Waunakee, Wis.; one niece, Dr. Marjorie Lee Slankard of Ridgewood, N.J.; one nephew, Don Jeffrey Slankard of San Diego, Calif.; and a dear friend, Marvelene Kornegger of Poplar Bluff, Mo.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Janice Slankard and Eloise Slankard; and an infant brother, Charlie Wilson Alexander.
