Buddy Jobe

Marcus Brady "Buddy" Jobe, 79, of Hardin County, died Friday, Jan. 2. He was born in Corinth, Miss., son of the late Clarence Ketchum and Nelle Brady Jobe. He was united in marriage to Thressia "Tess" Barnes, who survives. Mr. Jobe was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he was a paratrooper. He went on to be a restaurant owner and contractor. He was a member of the Pisgah United Methodist Church. He won the Catfish Derby of 1955. Services were held Monday, Jan. 5, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Dick Haley officiating. Burial was in the White Sulphur Cemetery at Pickwick Dam. The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or a charity of choice. In addition to his wife, Tess Jobe, he is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Wall of Corinth, Miss.; a son, Brady Jobe of Corinth, Miss.; two sisters, Edith Harms of Knoxville and Bobbie Ann Greene of Corinth, Miss.
