Bill Scott, 62, of Savannah, died Thursday, March 26, at his residence.
He was born in Savannah, the son of the late Cecil and Loise Cossey Scott.
Mr. Scott was a retired sawmill worker and logger, having worked for Granville Williams, Benson Logging, J.B. Smith Logging, and Ingle Sawmill. He was a life long member of the Walnut Grove Community.
Services were held on Saturday, March 28, at Walnut Grove Church of Christ in Savannah with David Highland officiating. Burial was in the White’s Creek Cemetery at Hardin County.
He is survived by two sons, Ronald and Donald Scott, both of Savannah; a daughter, Donna "Punk" Wilkerson of Savannah; two brothers, Jerry and Wilburn Scott, both of Savannah; four sisters, Martha Sutton of Decatur, Ala., Ardie Mae Stricklin, Anna Lou Wilder, and Mildred Barrier, all of Savannah; seven grandchildren, a step-grandson; a host of nieces and nephews.
