Leon Franks

Leon Everett Franks, 80, died Monday, March 24, in Elkridge, Md. He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Horace M. and Julia Mitchell Franks. Mr. Franks lived and worked most of his adult life in Indiana before retiring to Florida, where he lived until moving to Maryland. He is survived by his wife, Freda of Maryland; his children, Jim of Elkridge, Md., Jerry of Mishawaka, Ind. and David Franks of Indianapolis, Ind.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mary Tune and Ella Dean Whitt, both of Mishawaka, Ind. and Reba Reynolds of Savannah. He was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Irene Franks; and two brothers, Eugene and Junior Franks.
