Lyle White

Lyle Van White, 61, of Olive Hill, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Jackson-Madison County Hospital. He was born in Vance, Miss., the son of Lillie Mitchell and the late Guy Pierce White. Mr. White was a carpenter, and served in the United States Air Force. Services were held Saturday, Dec. 27, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro. Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Lawrenceburg. Arrangements were by Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County. He is survived by his mother, Lillie Mitchell; two daughters, Sandra Sisk and Jennifer Jackson, both of Huntsville, Ala.; one son, Samuel "Duffie" White of New York; six grandchildren; three brothers, William White of Fulton, Miss., David White of Olive Hill, James White of Bear, Del.; and two sisters, Jennie Bilbo of Mena, Ark. and Wanda Winter of Memphis. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Guy and Gilbert White.
