Jimmie Tune

Jimmie Kate Tune, 78, of Savannah, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 28. The funeral was held Wednesday, Dec. 31, in the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel, Central Heights, Ala. Burial was in Bumpass Creek Cemetery. She was preceded in death by husband, John D. Tune; son, Ricky Tune; grandson, Billy Gene Tune; parents, Robert and Cynthia Johnson; brothers, Lane, Gordon and Charles Johnson; sister, Brenda Holt; niece, Stacy Holt; and nephew, Dale Johnson. She was a member of Cherry's Chapel Methodist Church, Savannah. She was employed with Hardin County Board of Education. She was a lunchroom manager at Walnut Grove School for 42 years. She loved working with the children at the school. She is survived by her son, Steve Tune (Wanda); daughters, Deonna Scott (Paul) and Deborah Tune; grandchildren, Melony Carter (Ricardo), Michael Sellers, Beth Pollard (Derrick) and J.J. Tune; great-grandchildren, Madison and Garret Carter and Addie Pollard; brother, Gene Johnson (Betty); Sisters, Nell Hardy, Betty Johnson, Pat Murphy; sister-in-law, Earlene Johnson and a host of family and friends. Pall bearers were Tom Ray, Matt Duren, Jake Tyler, Chris Davis, Robert Johnson, Brandon Turnbow and honorary pall bearer, Lane Adam Hunt.
