Haslam to hold statewide inauguration parties
Republican Gov.-elect Bill Haslam is planning a series of inaugural celebrations around the state before he is sworn into office on Jan. 15.Haslam kicks off the events in Kingsport on Jan. 10, followed by a celebration the next evening at the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga.
Two events are scheduled for Jan. 12: a lunchtime gathering at the Tennessee Research and Education Center in Jackson and an evening party at the Memphis Botanic Gardens.
Haslam returns to his hometown of Knoxville on Jan. 13 for his last celebration before heading for the official festivities in Nashville.
