Cops suspended after stopping doctor

A pair of Pulaski police officers have been suspended after stopping and arresting a doctor who says he was on the way to deliver a baby.
Officer Chad Estes was suspended without pay for 30 days, while his supervisor, Sgt. Justin Young, was suspended without pay for seven days.
The suspensions were effective June 1. Both suspensions stem from a traffic stop on May 5, when Dr. Terry Wynn was taken into custody after being pulled over for going 46 mph in a 30 mile-per-hour zone.
Dickey said Wynn told Estes she was on her way to Hillside Hospital to deliver a baby. Dickey said Wynn was arrested at the hospital, but released from custody to deliver the baby. The doctor was never charged.
An outside investigation ordered by the city found that there was simply a “lack of communication.’’
