Former trooper indicted on misconduct, sex charges
A former Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper was indicted on three counts of official misconduct and three counts of aggravated sexual battery.Jimmy Lambert, 56, of Savannah, turned himself in on Thursday and was released on a $25,000 bond after being indicted in Hardin County.
THP spokesman Mike Browning said Lambert was initially placed on administrative leave in November and was terminated on Dec. 3 after an internal investigation. Lambert was commissioned with the highway patrol in July 1997.
