Savvy vacation destinations are wooing moms
Savvy tourism destinations are making their pitches to moms.Advertising marketing executive Jamie Dunham said mothers are key to helping travel rebound because they make most of the decisions about family vacations.
Dunham is an expert at WhyMomsRule.com, which tracks moms’ buying habits and related trends.
A survey by the Web site indicates most moms are eager to take their families somewhere to visit after many stayed home last year.
One-third of those surveyed say they’ll spend less than usual on this year’s vacation, might take a shorter trip, will stay in less expensive lodging and eat out less.
Tennessee Tourism Commissioner Susan Whitaker said moms are the travel planners and they’re looking for places that have a variety of things to do that will please the whole family.
