State private forest landowners can get funds

Tennessee private forest landowners can now apply for federal funds to help them manage their land.
The funds can be used to hire experts who specialize in developing multi-resource forest management plans. The application deadline is Jan. 15 through the United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service.
The Tennessee Department of Agriculture provides similar services.
