Lady Tigers split two games in district tournament action

The Hardin County High School Lady Tigers softball team split their first two games in last week’s district tournament. Hardin County picked up a win against North Side, but lost to Brighton.

The Lady Tigers were scheduled to play on Tuesday and needed two wins to reach the championship game. Hardin County is now 17-16 on the season.

Lady Tigers 8, North Side 1

Kara Boyd was the winning pitcher in last week’s district tournament opener against Jackson North Side. Katie McGee was 4-for-4 at the plate for Hardin County with three RBIs. Katie Terry was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

Brighton 5, Lady Tigers 0

Kara Boyd was charged with the loss in Hardin County’s game against Brighton last week. Katie McGee and Sheridan Rathai were each 2-for-3 for Hardin County in the game.
