Lady Tigers defeat Adamsville

The Hardin County Lady Tiger softball team picked up a 6-1 win over Adamsville last Tuesday. The Lady Tigers took a two-run lead in the third inning and didn’t give up the lead the rest of the way.

Katie Terry and Katie McGee each picked up RBI singles in the third inning to give the Lady Tigers the early advantage. Karlee Wyatt added a RBI double in the fifth inning, and Sheridan Rathai picked up a two-run single in the seventh to give Hardin County some extra insurance runs.

Kara Boyd was the winning pitcher for the Lady Tigers. Boyd scattered six hits over seven innings of work. She struck out four batters in the game.

Rathai picked up three hits in the game to lead Hardin County at the plate. Terry, Wyatt, and Tabitha Newcomb each had two hits in the contest for the Lady Tigers.
