Cardinals play at Pringles Park
The Adamsville High School baseball team won one of their three games last week. The one victory came in a district contest against Trinity Christian Academy at Pringles Park in Jackson. Adamsville is now 4-8 overall and 1-2 in district play.Cardinals 9, TCA 7
Adamsville rallied for six runs in the top of the sixth inning to defeat Trinity Christian Academy last week at Pringles Park in Jackson. Jake Martin (1-0) picked up the win. Wayne Replogle picked up his first save of the season to finish the game.
Josh Chappell got the scoring going in the sixth inning with a home run. Adamsville followed with four singles, two walks, and one hit batter to finish off their scoring. Drew Griswell was 3-for-4 with four RBIs in the game. Bradley Melton scored three runs.
Huntingdon 9, Cardinals 5
Adamsville led the game against Huntingdon by a score of 5-2 after the top of the sixth inning. However, Huntingdon rallied for seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to pick up the win.
Jalen Kendall (0-1) was charged with the loss for Adamsville. The Cardinals only managed five hits in the game. Bradley Melton was 2-for-4 and had a 2-run home run in the third inning. Josh Chappell had a solo home run in the sixth inning.
Union City 11, Cardinals 1
Union City outscored Adamsville 11-0 over the first three innings to pick up the win. Wayne Replogle (1-1) suffered the loss on the mound for the Cardinals.
Adamsville was held to only five hits at the plate. Will Erwin was 2-for-3. Kasey Hurley picked up a double in the fifth inning and later scored on a RBI single by Bradley Melton.
