Team Gymsport competes in Starkville invitational

Team GymSport competed at the Tis’ the Split Invitational hosted by Starkville Gymnastics December 4-5. GymSport had Bronze, Silver, Gold, and level 5 divisions in attendance. The Gold team took home the 3rd place team award and the Bronze team placed 5th.

Abby Ray again wowed the judges with her bar routine with a 9.3 for the gold medal. She also won gold for her vault 8.625 and bronze for floor 8.975. Brittany Neill won two silver medals for vault 8.7 and beam 8.675. She also placed 3rd in the all-around. Lauryn Harrison had another great meet with three gold medals. She won gold for beam, floor and the all-around. She also received silver for vault and bronze for bars.

GymSport’s Bronze team stepped up their routines and raised scores on each event as a team. Kaylee Haggard scored 8.25 vault, 8.55 bars, 8.9 floor. Kaylee completed a handstand on beam and stuck it to receive an 8.25 for beam. Breeze Mahler had a solid meet receiving a 9.05 for bars and 9.0 for floor. Her other event scores were 8.8 vault and 8.875 beam. She placed 5th in the all-around out of 11 gymnast. Kaylee Livingston had another awesome meet. She placed 4th on three events out of 11 gymnasts.

Her event scores were vault 9.2, bars 9.1, beam 8.7, and floor 9.0. She will be moving to the silver level for her next meet. Emma Morgan also kept the team score strong with her unfailing scores. Her event scores were vault 8.95, bars 8.85, beam 8.6, floor 8.95. Baylee Warr finished out the bronze team with fantastic scores on every event. Her event scores were vault 8.5, bars 8.85, beam 8.65, and floor 8.9.

Sydney Gamer competed for the Silver team for GymSport. At this meet she was able to add her back handspring in her floor routine which helped raise it to an 8.7. Her other event scores were bars 9.175 and beam 8.85.

GymSport had two level 5’s to compete. Kiana Briley received all gold medals for her child A division. Chloe Turner participated in her first level 5 meet. She received all silver medals.
