Lady Tigers sweep tri-match against Corinth and Amory
The Hardin County volleyball team traveled to Corinth on Saturday and picked up a sweep in their tri-match with Corinth and Amory. The Lady Tigers also picked up a district win against Jackson North Side last week. They also played tough games against Lexington and Brighton on the week. Hardin County lost their matchup to Lexington and lost both games against Brighton.Lady Tigers def. North Side (25-17, 25-13, and 25-20)
Katie McGee had a good game for Hardin County with five aces, five kills, and four blocks. Mallory Mathis had seven kills and two aces. Haley Scott had 10 assists for Hardin County. Brittany Simmons added 11 service points for the Lady Tigers.
Lady Tigers def. Corinth (25-9 and 25-17)
Haley Scott had seven aces in the match against Corinth. Katie McGee and Brittany Simmons each had three aces. Mallory Mathis added three kills for the Lady Tigers.
Lady Tigers def. Amory (25-5 and 25-7)
Haley Scott had seven aces, and Mallory Mathis added five aces for Hardin County. Emily Gray contributed with six kills and two blocks. Kaitlin Snyder had three kills.
Lexington def. Hardin County (25-19, 25-21, and 25-23)
Mallory Mathis had four kills and three digs for Hardin County. Haley Scott had five assists, and Kelsey White added three assists. Katie McGee and Kaitlin Snyder each had three kills for the Lady Tigers.
Brighton def. Hardin County (25-9, 25-8, and 25-14) and (25-16, 25-11, and 25-20)
Haley Scott had 12 assists against Brighton in the two matches. Kaitlin Snyder had six kills and four digs. Emily Gray had eight blocks and three kills. Mallory Mathis added seven kills in the match for Hardin County.
