HCMS Tigers dominate Lions

The Hardin Middle School Tiger football team claimed a 22-0 victory over the Selmer Lions in the eighth grade game last week.

The Tigers scored first on a 30-yard pass from Will Shelton to Trevor Bishop. They then added two on a 2-yard pass from Bishop to Brandon Brannett. The next Tiger touchdown was scored by L.A. Burns, and he added also added the two-point conversion to bring the score to 16-0. The duo of Shelton/Bishop struck again for the final touchdown when Shelton scored on a 10-yard pass.

The seventh grade team also claimed a victory against the Lions, winning 18-0. Logan Cole scored twice in the game on runs of 25 and 5 yards. Cal Gobbell added the team’s final touchdown on a 35-yard run.
