Lady Cardinals defeat South Gibson

The Lady Cardinal soccer team defeated South Gibson last week. They also competed in the Liberty Shootout in Jackson over the weekend. They ended the tournament with one loss and one tie. They currently have a record of two wins, four losses, and one tie.

Corrie Hill scored the only goal of the game in the first half. Olivia Wright had two saves at goaltender, and Kristina Milford recorded six. “We played much better,” said coach Rebecca Ashe. :We missed some opportunities to score a few more goals, but we were able to pull out the win.”

Lady Cardinals 1, Munford 1

Brittany Lambert scored the Lady Cards’ only goal. Wright recorded three saves, and Milford had eight.

Fairview 2, Lady Cardinals 1

Brittany Lambert scored her second goal of the day at the Liberty Shootout on Saturday. It was the Lady Cardinals’ only goal in the match.
