Cardinal golfers finish second

The Adamsville golf team finished second in a match against Scotts Hill and Madison on Monday. The Cardinals totaled 156, while Madison eked out the win with 155. Scotts Hill was third 203.

Andrew Aristorenas earned medalist honors in the contest with 34. Kirby Nixon shot 36, and Hunter McSwain finished with 39. Hunter Pyron shot 47 on the day, and Trevor Griffin had 48.

The team also finished second in a recent competition with Southside and Madison. Madison won their second event of the week, and the Cardinals were second with164. Southside finished third with 191.

Kirby Nixon tied a Madison player at 37 for medalist honors in the match. Andrew Aristorenas shot 38. Hunter McSwain finished with 42, Hunter Pyron shot 47, and Dylan Gattis totaled 49. Zach Blakely shot 56 for the Cards.

The Lady Cardinals recorded a win in their only match of the week. They defeated Scotts Hill on Monday. Abby Dickey was medalist with 49, and Taylor Hutton shot 51 on the day.
