HCMS picks up wins against Chester County

The Hardin County Middle School football teams each came away with victories over Chester County last Thursday. The eighth grade team picked up a 32-0 victory over Chester County, and the seventh grade team came away with a 12-6 win.

Timothy Blakney had a 25-yard touchdown run and a 48-yard punt return for a touchdown in the game. Blakney also had a 2-point conversion run. Jayni Yarbro had an 8-yard touchdown run and a two-point conversion. Brandon Luna also had a 4-yard touchdown run and a two-point conversion. Brandon Brannett caught a 2-point conversion pass from Trevor Bishop to finish the scoring for the Tigers.

In the seventh grade game, Logan Cole scored both of the touchdowns for Hardin County. Cole scored on runs of 25 and 15 yards for the Tigers. Hardin County will travel to Selmer today (Thursday) and then will play host to Adamsville Junior High on Tuesday.
