AJHS slams Selmer Lions

The junior high Cardinal football team held their opponents to one fourth quarter touchdown last week in a decisive victory. The Cards won the game 36-7.

Christopher Bernier put the first TD on the board in the first quarter, and Logan Barber added two on the conversion. Quarterback Canon Smith scored in the second before Bernier and Barber added eight more points on the scoreboard.

Seventh grader Bobby Moore added back-to-back touchdowns in the third quarter, and Barber earned his third conversion on the night. Bernier led the team in rushing with 83 yards, and Moore was right behind him with 80.

Christian Kanavel led the team on defense with five tackles, and Bernier and Barber each had four take-downs.
