Hardin County and Adamsville compete in local tournament

The Hardin County golf teams hosted the Hardin County Invitational on Monday at Pickwick. The Tigers finished ninth out of 26 teams in the event. The Lady Tigers finished fourth out of 14 teams.

Adamsville also competed in the event. The Cardinal team finished 14 out of the 26 boys’ teams. The Lady Cardinals did not compete in the event.

Hardin County, Adamsville, and McNairy Central also had a match last Thursday. The Tigers won their match against the two teams.

Hardin County Invitational

Hardin County’s Ben Carroll had the lowest score for the Tigers in the tournament with a score of 73. Tyler Austin was second with a total of 78. Hunter Webb shot an 84, and Grant Johnson had an 85. Rodney Lewis finished out the scoring for Hardin County with a score of 87. The Tigers had a team score of 320.

Hali Smith had the lowest score for the Lady Tigers in the event with a total of 83. Sarah Holland was second with a score of 105. Adamsville was led by Hunter McSwain with a score of 79. Kirby Nixon was second with an 81. Andrew Aristorenas was third with a score of 83. Jacob Wallis had an 86, and Hunter Pyron finished with a score of 91.

Ben Carroll was the medalist in the match with a score of 73. Rodney Lewis was just two strokes back with a total of 75. Tyler Austin shot a 77, and Hunter Webb added a 79 for the Tigers.
