AJHS Cards edge past Michie

The junior high Cardinal football team defeated Michie in a nail-biter last week, claiming the two-point victory in overtime. Adamsville won the game 40-38.

Head coach was Michael Harvill was very pleased with the win. “Both teams played their hearts out, and the outcome could have gone either way. We were glad to get out with a win. Michie has a very good team, and I think they will have a great season,” he said. Michie struck first, holding a 6-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. However, Adamsville charged back into the game, putting 16 points on the board before halftime.
