Adamsville’s Edwards invited to football camp

Adamsville High School football player Blake Edwards was recently invited to the Ultimate 100 Camp in Indianapolis. The Ultimate 100 Camp evaluates top athletes in the United States in a number of different areas. Players must qualify for the Ultimate 100 Camp by performing at the National Underclassman Combine.

The Ultimate 100 Camp is sponsored by Rivals.com and covered by ESPN.com, ESPN RISE, Scouts, Inc, and Scout.com. According to their press release, fifty percent of athletes that have come through this event have gone on to D-1 or D-1aa football schools.

Players at the camp will be evaluated in five different areas. The areas include combine testing, positional skill evaluation, 1-on-1 and 2-on-2s, Top Tier Best on Best Showcase, and 7-on-7 Team Tournament.

Edwards will be a junior on next year’s team for the Cardinals. The six-foot-four, 300-pound lineman has been a starter for the Cardinals in each of the last two seasons.
