Cardinal soccer team adds tie, loss to record
The AHS soccer team ended in a tie last week when they played Chester County on Thursday. However, they suffered a loss to Trinity Christian last Tuesday. They have a current record of two wins, three losses, and two ties.TCA 6, Cardinals 2
Trinity posted six in the first half of play when the teams faced off last week. AHS made adjustments at the half and were able to play better defense in the second half, but they were unable to make up the difference.
The Cardinals scored one goal in each half of play. Walker Lacey scored on an assist by Graham Churchwell, and Churchwell scored the team’s other goal. Goal tender Jack Majors recorded five saves in the game.
Cardinals 3, Chester County 3
The Cardinals held a 3-2 lead at the half, but Chester County scored in the last period of play to end the game in a tie.
Seniors Graham Churchwell and Walker Lacey provided all the offense for the team again. Churchwell scored all three Cardinal goals, twice on assists by Lacey. Majors had seven saves, and the Cardinals had eight shots on goal.
