AHS football players compete in Buffalo River Trench Warfare

Adamsville took two teams of linemen to compete in the Buffalo River Trench Warfare competition last Saturday at Perry County High School. The varsity team finished second overall.

They finished first in bench press with five players benching 185 pounds 113 times. Kameron McDaniel won first overall in bench with 185 pounds 32 times. The Cardinals also won first place in the power ball throw. Blake Edwards finished first overall with a throw of 29-feet, 10-inches with a medicine ball that weighed ten pounds. The medicine ball had to be thrown like a chest pass while on your knees.

The teams competed in the following areas: sled push, power clean, bench press (how many reps with 185 pounds), power ball throw, shuttle, 40-yard dash, and tug-o-war. There were 12 teams that competed at the event.
