AHS tennis wins first match

The Adamsville High School tennis teams won their first two matches against Middleton and McNairy Central to start the season. Head coach Michael Harvill is anticipating a good season for both the boys’ and girls’ teams.

“I am expecting a good season,” he said. “The boys are improved, and we have good returners for the girls with two new spots.” He has two seniors on the Lady Cardinal roster who have a great deal of experience on the courts. Kate Kucherenko and Kelsey Copeland will be relied on heavily. They will be playing their fifth season for the team.

Harvill expects their toughest competition to come from Madison and Trinity Christian.
