More arrests coming in drug roundup, sheriff says

Dec. 2– The Hardin County Sheriff’s Department, in cooperation with the Tennessee Highway Patrol and the 24th Judicial District Drug Task Force arrested 16 Hardin County residents on drug related charges Tuesday.

The arrests are the culmination of a year-long investigation in which undercover informants were able to purchase illegal narcotics from the suspects, said Hardin County Sheriff Sammy Davidson.

"We started this investigation in November of last year," he said.

The Hardin County Grand Jury returned indictments for 28 suspects.

Arrested on charges of selling a controlled substance were:

•Cayla Michelle Ray, 24, 265 Salt Lane

•Billy Wayne Reeves, 29, Ryan Street

•Travis Lacari Bailey Sr., 32, 380 Walnut St. Bailey was charged with two counts.

•Jacklyn M. Balentine, 22, 935 Pinhook Road.

•Jeffrey O. Caldwell, 32, Bluff Circle. Caldwell was charged with two counts.

•Bobby P. Cherry, 48, 115 Rachel Way

•Scotty Eugene Murphy, 38, 1250 Jowers Road. Murphy was charged with two counts.

•Tiffany N. McLin, 29, 2150 Jowers Road. McLin was charged with three counts.

•Michelle Marie Johnson, 40, 145 Reaves Road, Crump

•Dustin Wayne Doyle, 19, 270 Walker Loop, Adamsville. Doyle was charged with two counts.

•Joseph A. Highland, 25, 120 Gomer Loop

•Jimi Lynn Greene, 31, 345 Airways Road. Greene was charged with two counts.

•Paul D. Davis, 43, 350 East Main St.

•Talesisha Leeann Doyle, 21, 75 Hardy Road, Adamsville

•Freddie L. Cunningham, 56, 967 St. Paul Loop, Morris Chapel

•Angela Elaine Martin, 20, 225 Oak St., was charged with possession and sale of a Schedule II narcotic.

Davidson said the illegal narcotics allegedly being sold include prescription pills, cocaine and methamphetamine.

The round-up will continue until all 28 suspects are apprehended, he said.
