Savannah man assaulted, knocked out, goes on to work
Nov. 16– A Savannah man told police he was knocked unconscious Tuesday morning when he was struck in the head with a beer bottle outside a convenience store.
Police were dispatched to the Hardin Medical Center emergency room where Aaron Pack, 33, was being treated for a head injury.
Pack told officers he drove to Tiger Mart on Wayne Road at about 5:30 a.m., where he saw a "dark colored male and a light colored male" standing in the parking lot.
Pack opened the door of his vehicle, looked back to get his wallet and when he turned around, was hit with the bottle and knocked out, he said.
According to police, the victim said he went on to work after the assault but was sent home because he was having problems.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Savannah Police Department at 925-3200.
