Tennessee River Museum featuring WWII military uniforms, guest speaker
Nov. 4– Just in time for Veterans Day, the Tennessee River Museum is featuring a display of U.S. military uniforms worn during World War II.
Unlike many of the surviving uniforms of the period, these from the private collection of TRR museum board member Larry DeBerry are in excellent condition, spared from the ravages of moths as a result of blocks of cedar tucked into the pockets.
The display includes uniforms from nearly all of the U.S. service branches.
On Nov. 10 at 10 a.m., DeBerry will be at the museum to give a free talk about the collection and the history of American military uniforms.
"Anybody and everybody is invited, especially veterans and widows," he said.
Nov. 21 is the last day to view the display.
