Authorities search for father acquitted of sex crime and teen daughter

Sept. 14– A West Tennessee Endangered Child Alert has been issued for the Hardin County Sheriff’s Department for 13-year-old Leeann Weaver.

She was last seen in the company of her father, Lee Weaver, 61, according to a news release from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Weaver allegedly assaulted Leeann’s mother and fled with the child.

Leeann is an American Indian. She is 5’4" tall and weighs 119 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing an orange University of Tennessee Volunteers shirt and blue jeans. Leeann also wears braces.

Lee Weaver is an American Indian and has black hair and brown eyes. He is 5’10" tall and weighs 250 pounds.

Weaver was last seen driving a rented, gold newer model Chevrolet Malibu with an Ohio license plate.

He was last seen on Tenn. 57 in Hardin County at approximately 4:25 p.m. Tuesday.

Weaver is believed to be armed with a baseball bat. He is possibly heading to McIntosh, Ala., or the Indian reservation in Atmore, Ala.

 

His route of travel may be through Tupelo, Miss.

In August, a Hardin County jury found Weaver not guilty of sexual battery in a case involving a 13-year-old girl.

The alleged victim was not Leeann Weaver, a Hardin County Circuit Court official said.
