Savannah man seriously injured in Olive Hill crash
Aug. 2– A 53-year-old Savannah man was seriously injured Thursday night in a one-vehicle crash on U.S. 64 near Olive Hill.
In a report made available today, the Tennessee Highway Patrol said Lennis O. Gray, 53, was driving a 2002 Ford Mustang west on the highway at 10:55 p.m., about three-tenths of a mile from Jowers Lane.
The vehicle veered off the north roadway edge. It then hit an embankment, overturned and struck several trees before coming to rest.
The report cites as contributing factors driving too fast for conditions, reckless or negligent driving, and failure to keep in the proper lane. No citations have been issued.

Gray was wearing a seatbelt, said the investigating officer, Trooper Jimmy Plunk.
According to a family member, Gray lost an arm in the crash and is in stable condition after being airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.
