Savannah Body Shop owner killed in motorcycle accident
Aug. 1– Savannah Body Shop owner William Wayne Plunkett was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday in Lauderdale County, Ala.
Plunkett, 64, of Hardin County, was driving a 2004 Yamaha south on Alabama 20 about three miles south of the Tennessee state line when the motorcycle left the road and struck a tree, Alabama State Police said.
Plunkett was wearing a helmet at the time of the 11:20 a.m. incident.
Services for Plunkett are today at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah at 3 p.m.
