Tuesday last day to register to vote in Savannah election
July 8– If you live in Savannah and haven’t already registered to vote in the Aug. 11 city election, time is running out to do so.
Tuesday, July 12 is the last day to register to vote in the race that will fill two of the five seats on the Savannah City Commission.
With no incumbents on the ballot, the candidates are businessman Kent Collier, retired state trooper Andre Orr, and teacher Wes Wilkerson.
The Hardin County Election Commission office, located in the basement of the county courthouse on Main Street in Savannah, is open for voter registrations weekdays from 8 a.m. to noon, and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Early voting starts July 22 and ends at noon on Aug. 6.
