Flag Day: American Legion to burn flags in retirement ceremony

June 14– Today is Flag Day and Shiloh American Legion Post 28 of Savannah will mark the occasion with a formal flag retirement ceremony.

At 7 p.m., post members will respectfully burn U.S. flags too worn for continued display.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony at Riverside Park in Savannah and to bring any flags needing to be properly retired.
