April 20– Interested in aviation?
The Savannah-Hardin County Airport is holding a free open house on Sunday, May 1.
"We’ve got some fun things set up," said airport manager Montille Warren.
Although plans are still developing, numerous aircraft ranging from a 1960s military jet trainer, to helicopter and amphibious planes are expected to be on display.
An aerial competition is in the works, and flights may be available to the public.
Food and soft drinks will be on site.
The event lasts from noon to 5 p.m.
