Courtroom comment gets driver pulled over
April 15– A 22-year-old local man learned the hard way Tuesday not to drive yourself to court if your driver license is invalid.
Savannah Patrolman Bobby Crumby reported he was at the courtroom at the Hardin County Justice Center when he heard Ricky D. Shelton Jr. say his license was suspended.
He watched the man leave the courtroom, get into his pickup and drive.
Crumby said he walked out, waved him down in the jail parking lot and wrote Shelton, 150 Morgan Ross Road, a ticket for driving on a suspended license.
