K&M Market robbed
March 30– Savannah police say a snatch-and-run type robbery took place Monday night at K&M Market on Florence Road.
According to the offense report, officers responded to an alarm at the store at 9:04 p.m., but the perpetrator had already fled the scene.
The store clerk said a white male wearing a blue ball cap and blue jeans entered and asked for the key to the rest room. When he came back out, he returned the key and got a drink out of the cooler.
A woman entered to pay for a fuel purchase and when the clerk opened the register, the man reached over the counter, grabbed a handful of $20 bills and ran out the door, heading in the direction of Cedar Pantry.
Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Savannah Police Department at 925-4989.
