Teen's shooting death leads to homicide charge
March 25– A local man has been indicted by the Hardin County grand jury on a charge of reckless homicide.
The indictment states that Casey Eric Harrison caused the death of Allan Tyler Tucker by shooting him with a shotgun on Nov. 6, 2010.
Tucker, a junior at Hardin County High School, was 16 when he was killed. Harrison was 19.
Â
Sheriff Sammy Davidson told The Courier at the time that the teens were in some woods on Carroll Road in Michie when it appeared Harrison tripped, fell and accidentally discharged the 12-gauge shotgun he was carrying.
Tucker was struck in the lower back.
Davidson described the relationship between the two as "close," and said Harrison called Tucker his "best friend."
