Senior in wheelchair hit by car, driver arrested
Feb. 28– A 68-year-old local woman received noncritical injuries Sunday afternoon when her motorized wheelchair was hit by an alleged drunk driver at Kroger in Savannah.
Lydia M. Stewart told police she had left the grocery store, maneuvered the wheelchair down the ramp and looked both directions for traffic in the parking lot when she was struck not just once, but twice by a red car.

James B. Millington, 57, 1070 Florence Road, who was driving a 2010 Nissan Sentra, was arrested on charges of failure to yield, DUI and vehicular assault.
According to the arrest report, Millington admitted to having consumed two beers but failed field sobriety tests.
