Adamsville man found dead, drug charges filed
Dec. 9– Two arrests have been made following the discovery of a meth lab and a man dead of apparent suicide Wednesday at an Adamsville residence, according to city police chief Bill McCall.
Dispatched in response to a 1 p.m. call from 654 East Main St., Adamsville police found the body of Nicholas P. Cox, 28, in a bedroom with a small rope tied around his neck, he said.
While inside Cox’s house, McCall said, officers also noticed items used in the production of methamphetamine and notified the McNairy County Drug Task Force.
The DTF made a sweep of the house and located a small meth lab, said McNairy County Sheriff Guy Buck.

Two arrests were made at the scene.
Buck said Yvonne Brown, 32, of that same address, and Michael Pickens, Pleasant Site Road, Adamsville, were both charged with initiation of meth manufacturing. Brown is also charged with child abuse and neglect.
