Adamsville says no to liquor sales

Nov. 3– Savannah liquor store owners–and city officials concerned about a possible reduction in tax revenue–are likely quietly relieved at the results of Adamsville’s package liquor sales referendum Tuesday.

 

By a solid 22-point margin, Adamsville voters rejected allowing liquor stores to operate in the city.

The vote was 256 in favor and 397 opposed.
