Sometimes you just feel like a butt
Sept. 20– A 61-year-old local man was arrested for refusing to put out his cigarette while watching a Hardin County Middle School football game.
Lloyd Parrish, 9205 Tenn. 128-S, was charged with disorderly conduct and smoking where it is prohibited, according to Savannah police.
Sgt. Victor Cherry reported Parrish was smoking at the high school football stadium Thursday and when he told him to stub out his cigarette, the man refused.
Parrish was allegedly using profanity in front of children and told Cherry he had "been smoking for years and was going to continue to do so." He then went into the bleachers and sat down.
Cherry said members of Parrish’s family "started to get mad," so he called for backup and Parrish was taken into custody.
